This year I had the privilege of being a judge at Technovation Girls Chile, and what I experienced deserves to be told. Far from being just a school project, each proposal stems from a close, tangible, real problem.
The chosen topics were not random: mental health, recycling, clean energy, elderly care. All seeking a better way to live together.
Evolution
What's most striking is that, despite the challenges of access, time, tools, and support, these girls managed to create a product, presentation, and vision.
What would happen if initiatives like this had more visibility? What would we do if we stopped seeing them as "school projects" and started seeing them as seedbeds of real innovation?
Supporting these spaces isn't just supporting girls. It's investing in the future of Latin America.
